Hello. I'm interested in Arthur Bonney. He was my 2xGreat grandmother's father. Her name was Rosanna Bonney, her mother was Ariminta Burns. Arthur and Ariminta did not stay together and I've been trying to find out what happened to Arthur. Any info would be appreciated.

I'd like more details on Arthur & Aramintha. My records only have one wife for Arthur McClelland Bonney (1836-1896): Mary Elizabeth Herrick (1845-1914). They were married in 1871, per Herrick genealogy. There was a boy in their household in the 1880 Oxford ME census named Joseph H. listed as age 11, however. They had at least 8 other children from 1872 through 1890. My husband's grandfather is their son Alton Grover (1884-1959). I'll be happy to query Alton's son if you can give me any documentation regarding Arthur and Aramintha.

Was your grandfather married to Juanita Bonney named Juan Garcia? If so, I am from that family. The birthday of your GGma matches. I am the family genealogist from the Lopez family who is spun off the oldest daughter Cleofas, who was sister to Santiago, father of your GGma Juanita.
Hope your email is current. I would like to exchange information with you. ronaldalopez@yahoo.com

I don't know where the info came from but I have this in my file for Arthur and Aramintha:
Intention: March 26, 1861 Oxford, Oxford, Maine
Wedding: April 1, 1861 Oxford, Oxford, Maine
Rosanna was born October 1863.

1860 census Aramintha was single and by the 1870 census she was married to her second husband Nathan Churchill. Aramintha and Arthur's marriage did not last long.

This is all I have except the Peaco family connection. 2 of the Bonney sisters married Peaco bothers, Merrill and George Walter and Rosanna's husband's mother was the Peaco's sister, Mary Jane. I know its not much but it is a big coincidence.

if you have any info let me know.

Kris

I have Arthur McClellan Bonney b. 1838 Otisfield ME, m. 1871 Mary Elizabeth Herrick. It could be the same Arthur...

I have info about George and Merrill Peaco and their marriages and children and parents...I don't have Mary Jane though. The Bonney girls were my great-grandfather's sisters. He was Isaiah Edwin Bonney.

I am descended from Alton's uncle, John Osborne Bonney, and aunt Mary Adelaide Chadbourne (nee Palmer). I would love to know anything about her Irish ancestors (Palmer and Pendergast), although I know it is unlikely your contact would know anything about them.
