Hi, My GG Gramdmother was Adelaide Lemorande (Lamorand/Lamirande,...) and was born and died in Michigans Upper Penn 1845-1906. On her obit. is mentioned Father: John B., no mother, and Brother Frank of Calumet. I just found Frank Lemorande/Lovejoy (changed name on 1870 and 80 census) death record stating his Father was Francis D. Lemorande and Mother was Delia Bunno (Bono/Bonneau?) both born Paris, France. So far I have found 2 census records that most likely are Adelaide and her brother Frank, living with a JOHN BONO (Bonneau?) in Sault Ste. Marie, MI.
My problem is in finding how Adelaide and Frank Lemorande are connected to John (Jean Baptiste?) Bonneau family. Was Delia his daughter, or as it seems on the census record, was this really Dosithee (Indian name)/Desittie/Dophina(spelled different on each census record). I believe we have Indian heritage running through many of the branches of my family and I would like to see where it fits in. I have much info on Adelaides family after she married Pierre Corbeille (Peter Corbeil) about 1862. Would love to share this families info and find new info on her ancestors.

Since posting this message I have had help finding who we believe is Adelaides Mother; Adlinad Bonneau, who was the daughter of John Baptist Bonneau. A marriage record was found on an Ojibway Indian record site for Adlinad and Francis Lamirande being married in 1839 in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. So Adeliade would have been the Granddaughter of John Baptiste and his wife, Dosithee Josephine Suave-Laplante (Ojibway Indian). I have yet to find the marriage record. I find mentiion of the Ojibway Indian record site online but cannot find a searchable record list to check.
Thanks to Kitchee Geesh Waush for his help with this information.
