Felix died 21 Dec 1867 according to his tombstone. Other sources show 1866. He was the first Boller to move to Kansas from Hamiltonban, Adams, PA. His father, Jacob owned a sawmill north of Fairfield later owned by Felix's brother, William. Jacob, his wife and family, and related families moved to the Ogden, KS area in 1866. Jacob was the one who broke with the Moravian church when he married Rebecca O'Brien. Most of these Bollers are buried in Ogden Catholic Cemetery.
Hi, I just bought a old bicycle plate that would have been mounted on the front of a bike from about 1890 to about 1915. The plate reads "manufactured by BOLLER BROS. Gowanda, NY. I have never seen another and don't know the history of it but I think there is a good chance that it connects to your bollers. superq123@yahoo.com

Hello! My name is Amanda (Boller) Dykhoff--daughter of Jon Boller who posted on here years ago. He has since passed and I've inherited the Alfred P. Boller watercolor paintings. I do have some info on Alfred P. Boller in a family bible--mostly names of his children, birth years, etc.
I would love to see pictures of more of the paintings if you have any. After staring at these wonderful paintings for many years in my dads home it was so cool to see another one that I hadn't seen before! I've attached photos of a few of mine.

I am Susan Georgion's sister and also would like more information on Alfred Pancoast Boller. My dad has some beautiful watercolor/oil paintings that he got in the will from my deceased mother, the former Barbara Young (dau of Marian Birdsell and Phil Young of East Orange, NJ). Marian Birdsell was a descendant of the Townsends of New York and the Hestons of New York City.

Unfortunately, my dad remarried and his will leaves all these paintings to my step-mother, so we will never have them in our possession. Any pictures or more information on A. P. Boller would be appreciated! Do these paintings have any worth? I've searched under painters/watercolorist of the late 1800s and have found nothing. I have found information on A. P. Boller, the architect, but nothing on the painter. Any personal information on Mr. Boller would be greatly appreciated as well.

Nancy

Somehow she has been listed in Boller when her mom's name is Bellah (Ballagh or Bellagh)during the Revolutionary Days. Hepzibah was raised by Gen. Please look in files--forward this to anyone who may help--for Hepzibah's mother's full name. I am certain you network and can help me because I am writing the family history for my children.
I am a retired school teacher, suffered a mild stroke, and now I am on the mend.
Hello,

My name is Samuel Boller. I believe I come from the same Christian Boller line as yourself. From my very limited knowledge Christian Boller emigrated to Kansas via Canada from Bern, Switzerland. I believe he had two families. Marie Schmidt was his second wife and I believe she was of German descent. As far as I know Christian had a few children one of them being Samuel John Boller, my great-grandfather. Samuel had one son Jack Boller, my grandfather. Jack had seven children in all with the oldest son being my father John and then came myself. So, Christian would be my great-great grandfather. I have never met him but I did meet Samuel (Christian's son) before he died. He lived in Newton, Kansas before his death.

I currently live in Denver, Colorado. I would appreciate any information anyone has on the subject, but I believe our family lines are the same. Nice to meet you!

Oh yes, I believe Christian had another son named Walt who was killed or wounded in World War II. Walt and Sam (Christian's sons) also had a feud for some years concerning some cow bells that were brought over from Switzerland when Christian emigrated. Just some of the stories I have heard through the years.

His son JFB, Jr. was the father of my grandmother Elanor Ruth Boller who was the mother of my father Russell Lorraine McMasters.

I'd love to share any information that I have and learn as much as you know. I would be glad and love to share with you what I know. Feel free to email me directly (Rmoncr4@aol.com). I have some info and photographs. I think several years ago I mailed a letter to an address I found for Jack Boller. I do not know if anyone ever received it. I have truly enjoyed learning about all of my ancestors and have enjoyed even more finding extended family to compare information with and photos. I love it! :)

Carla Chance Moncrief

BOLLER LINE FROM SWITZERLAND

We are seeking anyone who might be connected to our BOLLER line. Want to learn more and would be more than willing to share what we have and know at this point. Siblings of this line are:

Christian Boller born 8 Jan 1850 in Switzerland and died 07 Mar 1909 in Halstead, KS. Married to Katherian Trachsel. Later married the relative that came to America, Marie Schimdt. He brought his wife and two young daughters along with another family member in Oct of 1881. They first settled in Canada and later in 1892 are in Michigan, US and then onto Superior, NE, USA and then went to KS, USA. They lived in Troy KS as well for a time. Have some photos of the family taken while there.

Susan Boller unknown birthdate in Switzerland. Married a Jacob Garber. We think that they lived in KS some, definitely Superior NE and moved onto Maryland.

John Frederick Boller born 11 Mar 1847 in Switzerland and died in 1928 in Idaho. He also immigrated in 1881. Married to Susanna Mutzenberg. He and his family lived in Salina, KS where 3 or 4 children were born before heading to ID around 1891.

Gottfried Boller born 8 feb 1867 in Switzerland and died in 1942 in California. As far as I know he never married and may have come to the States in 1885 bringing his father.

Samuel Boller who we believe stayed in Switzerland.

Gillian Boller who left Switzerland and ended up in Russia I believe. Had a daughter Katerine who I believe was born in 1883 in Switzerland.

Would love to learn more about this family and be more than willing to share what we have and know at this point. Thanks!

I am pretty sure the Sam Boller you are refering to is my great grandfather who married a Mary. My grandfather is Jack Warren Boller. He is from Kansas was in the Navy and retired in Spottsylvannia, Va. He married my grandmother Nancy Slattery and had 7 children and 10 grandchildren. I have found out that my great grandfather had 2 brothers Walter and William, a sister Emma. As well as 2 half sisters I believe Christian Boller had 2 daughters with his first marriage to Catherine Boller, one being Susan and Rosine. Any information you have on Sam's brothers or sister's I would love to learn about. Thank you!
Jennifer Boller

I've already got him in my tree. However, thanks to your query, I've gone into my tree and updated a few leads that I didn't have for him.

#3) He would be my wife's great-grandmother's grand-nephew-in-law... Hoyt (1871 - 1934), dau. of Wm. Hoyt and Phebe Campbell. He had 2 sons, one died unnamed; and William Hoyt Boller (1907 - 1908). One of Wm. Boller's brothers was John Boller. I believe the family was in the cheese business in western NYS. Some one came to the Nelson cemetery a year or two ago looking for his grave. Anyone know of these Bollers?

This branch of the Boller family ended up in Grant County, Indiana outside of Marion. They are buried in various cemeteries around Grant County. William is in my husband's line. The Boller family has owned cattle/dairy farms in Grant County for many generations. My father in law George Steven still owns the family farm. My husband has been researching and we have been able to trace back to James Boller (Buller in some records) in Guernsey County Ohio. The Pughs are mostly buried in the IOOF Cemetery in Marion and in Van Buren along with the Bollers. My husband's grandfather is Francis.
