I see this is a little out of date...but maybe someone will see it. I'm a Bohach from Regina, Saskatchewan Canada. There are a number of us here as this part of the world as many Ukrainians settled on the Canadian prairies in the early 20th C. Many of you say your family origins are Czech, but we are all Ukrainians. Not sure if you all know this or not, but Bohach is the Ukrainian word for "rich man", or "big shot" if used sarcastically. Also, some of the Bohach's here spelled it Bohacz at one time.
They settled in places called Goodeve and Ituna in Saskatchewan in the early 1900's, most were farmers. It's interesting that you all are looking for John, George, Andrew etc...those are the same names as the Bohach's up here!
If anyone is interested in the Canadian connection, contact me by email and we can trade information. The Bohach side of my family is kind of shadowy...but one never knows.
