Thanks Frank. I read about the Little Scottish Cluster with great interest. It makes me wish even more that I had done my testing through FTDNA since some of the important locations for defining the Little Scottish Cluster specifically DYS590 and DYS413 are not tested by Ancestry. Rats!
I do share some of the characteristic values though.
DYS 391 = 10; DYS 464a, b, c, d, = 13, 15, 17, 17; and GATAH4 = 10. My values differ from the cluster in that DYS449 = 31 and DYS458 = 20. We know DYS458 is a fast mutating location and I'm not sure about 449, but without knowing my values for DYS590 and DYS413...
I'm considering testing with 23andme as a supplement to my Ancestry results because of their genetic health related aspects. Maybe their testing includes some of the FTDNA sites that Ancestry does not.
