I am searching for my g-g-grandfather's parents. Robert BOGLE's enlistment papers stated that he was born in Cannon Co., TN in 1834. By 1853 he was in Montgomery Co., AR where he married Elizabeth Ann SCOTT, dau. of William T. SCOTT. Robert and Elizabeth had three children before her death in 1859. Robert served in the Confederate army for a short time before being discharged due to rheumatism. He died in 1866.

I have reviewed the Cannon Co. 1840 census and found that only two families had male children of the appropriate age to have been Robert: William B. Bogle and Joseph Bogle. I'd appreciate any clues, and I'm willing to share what I have.
