Joy, my ex husband's grandfather was Henry Boese, born Ma 25 1886 in Marion, Kansas, married to Myrtly Frances Tackett, born in Indian Territory, Oklahoma. Henry's father was Martin Heinrich Boese and mother was Susanna Wiebe, both born in Prussia; he in 1855 and she in 1854. They immigrated to the US, through Antwerp, Belgium, to Philadelphia, PA, then on to Kansas where Henry was born. Henry and Susanna's children were all born in Kansas. They went to Marion as part of a large group of Mennonites and there is some further information about that, if you don't have it.
