Anyway, my Henry Fred Bock was born in Holstein, his wife Wilhelminia Boltz was from Hamburg. We were told that our Bock's were from the Black Forest. He served on a German Merchant Marine we believe before coming to the States via New York Ciy, also served in the Civil War before going to Iowa. Here is his descendants -- I know nothing of his mother and only have the name of his mother who was Lenas.
