Hi
My father was also John Keith Boa also a Marksman but not to the point of John Boa- the Professional Trap shooter. But My Father and Grand-father certainly knew of him and his ability to shoot not only with shotguns but other firearms. A story my father told is that John Boa was able to throw a large piece of coal into the air. break the coal into pieces then break the smaller pieces into smaller pieces before they hit the ground. All the Boa's seem have a higher than average ability to shoot firearms. John Keith Boa of Lachute was considered the best shooter in Argenteuil County, Quebec. He gave up competitive shooting after he lost vision in his right eye in a work related accident. The Boa's in Lachute area grew up with firearms of all sorts, we hunted for deer, moose, wolf, fox, rabbits, beaver, pheasant, partridge . We trapped for weasels, mink, muskrat, lynx.
From what i understand Jon Boa retired in the USA, To confuse the issue a little more my older brother is named John Stephan Boa. I do know dads favorite guns was an Ithaca double-barreled shotgun, not sure where he bought it , would be neat if he bought it from John the Trapshooter

Surnames: Boa
The Ithaca Double Barrel and the Winchester lever action" which I still have" were wedding gifts to our Grandfather Leonard Boa.

Uncle Bill "William Boa" was given the Winchester and Dad was given the Ithaca.

Before Dad passed away he gave me the Ithaca, Danny still has it, when I went to pick it up he had taken it apart and was going to restore it, I don't know if he ever did.

I think it is just a show gun now, Robert apperently bent the barrels by accident while driving on a four wheeler with it.
