Hi Brenda. Still on the road but will certainly get in touch when I arrive. Briefly on John, yes he testified against Bridget Bishop who was hanged. No relation to Richard Bishop according to the historians. He married the step daughter of Richard Bishop, Rebecca Gault (Golt, etc) Bishop married her mother Mary. after his wife Margaret Dulzabel Died. John Bly testified at Richard's probate calling him father Bishop. John is mentioned in Bishop's earliest records and may have arrived with him or with Dulzabel. There are a lot of little pieces to this including Dulzabel's previous husbands (one Thomas Blyth) that need tracing.

BTW Gault owned a brickyard. John's brickmaking may have been as an employee of his father in law.
Back to the road.
