Otis Washington Bly was born in Warren, Rhode Island. His father was James Bligh. James had Otis W, Stephen (stated he died at sea when the ship he was on was taken by pirates). Patience and Prudence were twins. Patience married Sterry Watson of Nayatt Point. They had several children. I have added them to my tree which is public.
Otis Washington was indentured to a man who ill treated him and when he was able to, he ran away.
James Bligh as far as I can find out at this point, was a son of James Bligh who was considered the patriarch in the Warren/Burrillville family group. He likely was born to Jonathan Bly of North Kingstown, Rhode Island. I believe he first migrated with the family to Renssaeler, NY, then back to Rhode Island. This link is not solid, based only on census records.
The North Kingstown records are extremely limited as there was a major fire in the courthouse in 1869. This lost not only North Kingstown records, but many of the older records from the colonial Kings Towne.
Jonathan Bly born 1732 was also an indentured servant. The original document is on my tree. The family splits began in that generation I believe due to financial losses. Jonathan's father was William Bly, who disappeared in about 1840. His father was Daniel Bly who left a will to son William. Daniel was one of the original land deed holders of the "Vacant Lands of the Narragansett", for Bly's Purchase in 1709. Daniel's probable father was John Bly (Bligh) of Salem, or his brother Thomas Bligh of Boston.
The Burrillville Bly detail is found here: Representative Men and Old Families of Rhode Island, Volume III; - Hazard. Hazard's ancestor by the way was a neighbor of Daniel Bly.

Jam7500, could you direct me to your tree. You have information I am missing on Prudence and Patience, particularly on birth places.
Thanks,
