Cole "Pete" Peebles Blanton, March 11, 1925 - May 1, 2015.

Cole "Pete" Pebbles Blanton, 90, was born in Ironton, Ohio (Lawrence County) and grew up in Columbus, Ohio graduating from North High School.
He proudly served in WWII for the US Army under the 2nd Armored Division and the USAF.
He earned a Purple Heart for his service during the Battle of the Bulge

. After his service he earned a B.S. in Business from The Ohio State University class of '49.

Cole was preceded by his wife Constance Bidgood Blanton of 32 years who was a teacher at Upper Arlington Middle and High School.
He was survived by his children, Beth Blanton Dodds, Cole Douglas Blanton and Clare Blanton Therieau; along with his five grandchildren.
Cole spent his career as a sales engineer for H.P.M. and Natco of Indiana.
His legacy is best known by his friends as being the individual who always lent a hand and by his family as having a humor that will last through the generations and a love that still keeps them strong.
He has lived in Sarasota, FL for the last 25 years.
Celebration of life will be held at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 30 W. Woodruff Ave., Columbus OH 43210, Saturday, May 16 at 2:30 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Stephens or to Honor Flight, Columbus, Ohio.
