Ok. Many thanks. Here is what I have on him from the research done by Craig Stringer.
Eustace Horatius Blann was born in Hampshire, and gave his age as 21 years when he signed on
the Titanic’s articles on April 6th 1912. He was the son of Horace and Margaret Blann, and brother to Ivor, Lionel, Cyril and Cecil. By 1912, Eustace was living at 99 Pound Street, Southampton.
Prior to sailing on the Titanic, Eustace had been working on the Danube. On the Titanic he
could expect to earn wages of £6 for the voyage.
Eustace joined the Titanic at 6 a.m. on April 10th 1912, as a fireman in the 8 to 12 watch. After
the muster he went on duty, to prepare the steam needed for getting under way.
Eustace Horatius Blann died when the Titanic sank. His body was not among those identified
during the recovery of victims from the sea by ships after.
Margaret Blann, and her four surviving sons, were awarded a weekly allowance from the British
Titanic Relief Fund as a result of Eustace’s death, and the loss of his income.
