In the 1870 US Federal Census, it shows Martha as a Blankenship being 25 yrs. of age with 2 children S E Blankenship and J E Blankenship. Later she is married to Sardis Smith on April 1st. 1875 and has 4 children with him who are Sarah, Emma, Jack and Isaac. Lastly she is married to Joseph Richardson in 1892 and a possible child, Emma Richardson. I have been told she is full blooded Cherokee and walked the Trail of Tears and that she possibly had been married several times more than what I have shown already. There are alot of missing gaps and about her children and parents as well! Any information would be appreciated!
