Valentine Blank, a hotel keeper of Etna, died at his home on Butler street on Monday, July 15, 1907 at 9:50 a.m..  He was born 63 years ago in Germany & came to this country in 1854, settling in Pittsburgh.  He was for many years employed at the Carnegie mills, Lawrenceville.   He leaves his wife, Catherine Blank.  Funeral services at St. Mary Church, Sharpsburg at 9:30 a.m. (Pittsburgh Daily Dispatch 16 July 1907 page 6)
