Hi, not sure if you are still searching this, or even on this board anymore, but thought I might be able to help. My grandfather was Mayo Blanchard (b:1901 in Roxbury VT. d: 3/31/61 in Stamford CT). He was married to Lucienne Blanchard (his second wife) in Vista NY. He had four children: Philip H. Blanchard, Alfred W. Blanchard (deaseased), Patricia M. (Blanchard) Nichols - my mother, and Lucienne A. Blanchard.

He also had a brother, Ernest of Bristol CT at the time of his death. I do know by way of stories from my grandmother, that he had a brother Charles, who apparently stole money from the Veteran's group he belonged to. He disappeared and no one ever heard from him again. I believe I was told he ended up in Portland ME for awhile.
