Searching for any information relating to Major Joseph A. Blance who was born on June 20, 1838 in Savannah, Chatham County, Georgia; last known residence was Cedartown, Polk County, Georgia in 1913.

According to hand-written notes that I've recently received, Maj. Blance was a Major in the Confederate Army during the Civil War; he is possibly the brother of Annie Helen Blance (b.July 07, 1844), which would make him the son of John C. Blance (b. February 08, 1796).
