Update: we just got a copy of Mae's obit to find out her name is really "Rowena Mae Blalock/Blaylock" she was born in 1876 in Arkansas.....she was married at least twice, first to a Mr Murphy, they had 2 children, a son, E C Murphy, living in Hermiston abt 1941, a daughter Mrs Harry Gilson (Lilly); ......she then married John Atteberry, and together they had 3 children, two sons, Henry Lee Atteberry b. 1-26-1911 in Cove, OR and Dee M Atteberry b. 3-10-1913...and a daughter Virginia Atteberry (Painter)............we don't know if she was married to John Atteberry before or after she came to Oregon......Her obit states she lived in Oregon the last 30 years of her life which would make that abt 1911 which is when Henry was born in Cove, OR..leads us to believe she was already married to John Atteberry when she arrived in Oregon.....We believe she has a relative, B F Blaylock/Blalock that would have been living in Oregon abt 1927......John Atteberry is presumably from Springfield, OR so she may have migrated to Missouri before migrating to Oregon? We believe that Rowena Mae had Cherokee bloodlines? Any information on Rowena or her family would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Karen
