I am looking for information on a store that G. B. Blakeslee owned in
Livingston
, called the Wide Awake Grocer and Crockery Dealer. I want to know when it operated and any other information about it.

This may
Gervase
Blakeslee
, Jr., son of
Gervase
,Sr. and
Polly
Guernsey. He was born in Harpursville, NY in 1825. He was a clerk in a grocery store there, later moved to
Illinois
where he was a grocer. Maybe he kept going west and operated grocery stores wherever he went. I have info on his predecessors but have lost track of his descendants.
