My Joel Blackwell was born ca 1737. We have documentation that ONE of his brothers was Isaiah. There is circumstancial evidence that Daniel was their brother as the three of them were in the Granville/Orange Co. NC area in the mid 1760's. My Joel's last child was named Daniel.

There is a record where the issue of Daniel gets bounty land for the service of Daniel in the RW. However, there are no service records for Daniel. His issue were able to get this land because Daniel died years before 1832 when he could have gotten a pension.

As for the Book on Stateline Church it must remembered that people 60 years ago still believed the MY Joel Blackwell was the same person as the Rev. Joel Blackwell. And, that does make a problem for researchers who do not understand that they were two separate people. genpics1968@att.net
