Edwin was my great-grandfather and was born illegitimate to Elizabeth Blackmore. We have no info about her at all.
In 1841 & 1851, Edwin was living in Wellington, Somerset with Uriah Slade and Mary Blackmoor Slade.
It is possible Mary was a relative of Elizabeth. Mary was born about 1806 in Wiveliscombe according to census.
When Uriah & Mary married in 1826, Ann Blackmore was a witness.
If anyone has any info on these Wellington Blackmoors/ Blackmores I would be very grateful.
