I live in Greene County,MS (20 miles from George Co.) I am researching the Blackledge family (allied families: Cowart, Breland, Pierce, Brannan and more) This is my husband's line and he descends from Zachariah Blackledge who was married to Martha Ann Breland. Some of their children: Rachel A. (m. Absolum Davis), Richard F. (m. Barthenia Overstreet), William F.(m. Virginia Cowart), Zachariah A. (m. Margaret E.A. Cowart). Margaret and Virginia Cowart were sisters and their genealogy is well-documented. I have found some of the burial sites.
