WOW! You and I are related! I'm the granddaughter of Henry Ernest Blase from New Jersey. I think your father, Bill, was his half brother, and I have heard of a Teddy Blace who married Muriel. This is so exciting. I haven't found much about my grandfather's side of the family. I do know his parents, however.

Will send an email.

Unbelieveable, and I thought our family was so small. I remember my aunt Muriel, she lived in Englewood, NJ. My Grandfather owned Palisades Moving and storage back in the 40,s I think. My father's brothers were Henry, Peter,John, Bernie, Lou, and Teddy, He also had two sisters who I can't remember right now. It has been a long time sence I have talked about the family. Now if I could only locate my brother whom I haven't heard from in over 15 years. Looking foward to talking to you soon. Hope I can be of some help to you in reserching your past. Bill

I think??? one of the sisters may have been Eva.

I would help in the search for your brother if you could supply some details.

Did you ever hear of the twins (one or both drown in Denmark)?

I don't believe your grandfather who owned Palisades Moving and Storage was Henry's father. There is a "step" "half" relationship here, hence the Blace/Blase spelling.

We need to get down to dates and places. I do know that my grandfather was born in Denmark, Schlesweig-Holstein region November 10, 1889. He came to America when he was 16.
I'm ASSUMING he came to the family in Piermont.

I used to live in Rockland and Bergen County. Is there a "family" cemetary?

Hi Rose,

Muriel Blace (born Osborne) was my late mother's sister. Her children were Teddy who died in Tupper lake NY last year; Muriel about whom I know nothing; Roy who lives on the west coast and Peter Carney who died some years ago. I am in touch with all the branches of Teddy's family except for Muriel's. Can you help?
