As a descendant, do you know for certain if your grandfather's given name was "Marcelino" Bitanga? I have Mariano Ver BITANGA married to Nicetas (or Felicitas) Quevedo Zumel. Look again at the above-forementioned post(s).

In any case, I found a parish record that states that MARIANO VER BITANGA married Nicetas Quvedo ZUMEL on 11 Jan 1930 in the quaint Santa Monica Church of Sarrat, Ilocos Norte, Philippines.

Unfortunately, I have only one child listed, and she died shortly after a month of being born. Her name was Maria Candelaria Zumel BITANGA, born about Jun 1932, and died on the 12th of July 1932, and buried--surprisingly the very next day on 13 july 1932. This record can be found in FHL: 1214270, Section 2, page 224(vuelto) or more precisely on the unnumbered page after page 224, and followed immediately by page 225 of the Santa Monica parish/ Church records.
