As repeated many times in these "boards," it is through my maternal ancestry that we are related. My mom--the former "Gehling" Edralin JAMIAS of Poblacion 5, Sarrat, Ilocos Norte--is both a JAMIAS and BITANGA descendant.

Our most ancient recorded ancestry is through D. Juan Bernardino BITANGA (born abt 1756-poss died abt 1811) who was married to Da. Rosa AGCAOILI. It is through their great grandchild, D. Juan BALEVA (y Bitanga) that we are related.
