Interested in ANY information about this Bigot family.
The earliest information I have discovered about them so far about them describes;
Ann Bigot born in Reading, Berkshire, England, who married a James Cowdry in 1809 in St Magnus the Martyr registration district in London England. Ann Bigot, I suspect, after bringing up 7 children died in 1870 in East Grinstead, Sussex. Her husband may have died in the 1840's in Surrey.
Through England and Wales census returns, an Anthony Bigot born also in Reading and baptised in 1791 in the St Giles area of Reading to parents Anthony and Sarah (according to the IGI).
In 1802 this Anthony Bigot married a Katherine Hall in Odiham, Hants (according to Pallots Marriage Registrations). This may have been a second marriage for Anthony.
A child Oliver Bigot was baptised in June 1803 Saint Mary, Reading, Berkshire, England (according to IGI).
In 1841 Oliver and "Catherine" are found in Queen Street, Hammersmith Middlesex, (London), where Catherine / Katherine's approximate age is 60. Oliver aged 38 working as a chemist.
There is also a death registration of an "Anthony Bigol" in 1856 in Tonbridge Kent, which was comparatively near to where my Ann Bigot was living.
Thank you.
