I believe that your Aaron Bible is the son of Joseph & Susan (Susanna) Smith Bible found in the 1860 Cocke Co TN census & the 1870 Ste. Genevieve County MO census. Joseph & Susan had quite a few children with Aaron, Ezra and Elizabeth being the younger ones. I show Aaron Bible married Mary Bayless in St. Francois co MO on Dec. 13, 1877--record was filed on Jun 12, 1878 by A.A. Rudy, JP. Ezra Bible married Catherine E. Ferguson, daughter of Churchman Ferguson, in St. Francois co MO on Jan. 30, 1879.
Susan Smith Bible is a sister of my ggg grandfather Isaac Smith born in Greene co TN.

My sil has a grandmother Mary Marie Biebl(1902-1994) from Baltimore--she married Newton Robinson Kelly.
I think her father was Wenzel---there was another Wenzel and Leopold that went to MN -- all from Austria/Bohemia /Germany

Kittie Bible (b. 1869) mentioned here being married to George Bible is a great-great aunt of mine. Her maiden name was Catherine Acton and she was born in York Twp., Michigan, the daughter of Alfred and Catharine Acton.

I have been trying to locate my Great, Great, Grandfathers parents and any siblings names. I know Henry Biebelwas born in 1827 I have two birth place possibilities, Weisenheim, Bavaria, this was mentioned in his obit,or Niefenheim, Rhine Pfalz, Bavaria that is mentioned on his marriage cert. I know that he married Barbara Kiefer in 1850 or 1851 I believe in New York or Connecticut. He is buried next to Frank Biebel who I believe is his brother, my Dad grew up knowing Franks decendants as cousins, we have no information on either of them prior to USA, there may have also been a brother Charles, Charles and Henry enlisted in the Infantry the same day in Bridgeport Ct Henry was a Captain in the Civil War and was a prisoner in Libby Prison during the uprising. His Marriage cert say Heinrich Bibel. ANyone that has any infor on parents would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, I have been researching the Bible family for a number of years. I don't know if I can help you, but I can lead you to find some things (I hope). Start with the census. The 1930 census should list William P. Bible with his family and since his wife was born in 1924 you can figure he was born about that time, give or take 4-5 years. Next search for the Bible family site. It is a wonderful site that lists tons of Bibles all the way back to Hans Adam Biebel who came to the U.S. in the 1700's. Linda may be able to help you also. Try the http://labs.familysearch.org it is the new LDS site and do a records search. Look for military records at the Footnotes site, you never know what you'll find there.

Elizabeth Bible, wife of William Thompson - Ireland to Canada

My great, great, great grandmother was Elizabeth Bible, born in Ireland (date unknown) and died before 1851 in Quebec. She is buried in Cantley Cemetery with her husband, William Thompson, and his second wife. Her son, Edward Thompson, was born between 1822 and 1828, most likely in Ireland but possibly in Ontario or Quebec. He married Isabella Larmour and their first daughter was Elizabeth Bible Thompson, born 1851. She married Isaac Cross and moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan.

I know nothing else about Elizabeth and her roots. If any one has any connection I would love to hear from you. I have a lot of information on her descendents that I would gladly share.

Valentine Severe Bible

Valentine Severe Bible is in my tree through his 2nd marraige to Mary Alice Huff. My great grandmother was Alta Omega Bible. I dont see her listed as one of their children on the Bible site. I know that Mary Alice Huff's father was Jonas Huff and I cant find a spouse for him. I found the obit for my G grandmother at the etsu library, but it only listed her children, most dead by now or don't remember things. :( Has anyone come across any of these names while doing research. Most of my family is from Green or Washington County Tn. Other Surnames involved are Gillette, Barnett(e), Jones & Tipton.

I saw your Query on the Bible board and found some info you may or may not have. Valentine Bible is on the 1860 census for Greene County living with parents, Isaac & Sarah. Info is that he was b. 28 Dec 1854, m. Mary Alice Huff in 1890, and d. 16 Jun 1919. His mother was Sarah Caroline Kinser. The 1870 census he is still with parents. 1880 - nothing found. 1910 census lists his name as Vollie S. Bible-55,wife-Mary A. Bible-40, children are; Alta-16, Carl-14, Zella-10, Fredie,-6, and Dula-1.
Jonas Huff is listed on the 1860 census as 16 & living with parents, Peter & Barbara Huff. 1870 census has him as 28, living with wife, Sarah. children-Susan-3, Alice-1. 1880 census Jonas & Sarah J. Huff, children; Susan A.-13, Mary A.-10, Joseph A.-8, Martha A.-2, & John S.-5mo. 1900 - Jonas-55, Sarah-50 and Sorde I.-12. I found record of Civil War from 1863 - 1865.

In the Bible Database, we have Swan born 26 Feb 1871 in Cocke Co., TN , died 28 Jan 1951 in Coleman Co. and Nora born 22 May 1881, died 27 Aug 1969 in Bangs, Texas. They are both buried in the Santa Anna Cemetery, Coleman Co. I obtained the death dates from the Texas state death index Nora's father was George Washington Maynard b Aug 31,1842-Huntington, Cabell co. Virginia, died Oct 24, 1926 in Washington Co. TX. Her mother was Myrum Hatten b Oct 24 , 1865 in MN; or so we've been told.
