hello Jose. I am also doing research under Biaggi. My grandmothers mother (my great grandmother) was named Mercedes Biaggi. She was from Corsica and went to PR in the late 1800's or early 1900's with some family members. I am assuming she must've been btw 17-25 when she gave birth to my grandmother in NY in 1921. Unfortunately, she died while giving birth in the hospital. My grandmother Dora Biaggi, never knew her mom (or her dad for that matter). All she knew was that they had a "one night stand" and he was Irish. How old are you?

I'm 34 years old. I was born and raised in Puerto Rico but right know I leave in the state of Virginia, USA and work for the U.S. Department of Defense.

There a few Biaggi's that move from corsica to Puerto Rico and then move back to Europe. this is the case of Jean Batiste Biaggi and His Brother Jose Biaggi they both born in Puerto Rico but moved to France when the still been children.

Jean Batiste is a retire Lawyer how work as a Legal advisor for the French President Charles De Gaulle also he is a War Hero in France. Today he is considered The wealthiest men in france. His brother Jose owned a international hotel chain and he is considered the 5th Welthiest men in france. Once in a while Jean go to Puerto Rico to visit my family.
Good look with you research and let me know what you find out. My greatgrandfather also move to Puerto Rico in the 1800's I don't remember his name but my Grandfather's name is Julio Cesar Biaggi Battestini.

The following info is good to know. I grew up in a town in Puerto Rico called Yauco. this was a big very big corsican settlement back in the day and every single year people from corsica travel to Yauco just to know the town and to know about their relatives that once use to live there and help to built the town.

Linnette,
My name Sara Abreu, married to Javier Biaggi from Puerto Rico. We are also doing research on Biaggi's family and I think there might be a connection here. From what I have read in your message to José (sorry) I understand your great granmother Mercedes Biaggi could be related.
In my investigations I have a Mercedes Biaggi born to Juan Bautista Biaggi and Antonia Biaggi circa 1890's and dead in June 29, 1921 This person had other brothers and sisters in the Domican Republic and P.R. I don't have a clear knowledge of what really happened to Mercedes but I know there was a tragedy around her death also.
Do you have any other information to confirm these data I'm giving you? maybe we can clear this up and get to know our families someday.
Thank you for your help
