Seeking information on my Boettcher/Bettcher family line.
Descendant of Edward Boettcher (Bettcher) and Ida Hope Bettcher (changed from the German spelling of "Boettcher" to the Americanized "Bettcher" ... one of their sons, Reme, changed to "Bottcher"). I have no Birth/Death info on them, but I know that Edward & Ida Boettcher owned and operated a Boarding House in Ulster Heights, NY in the early 1900s.

Enlisted in US Navy, served in Spanish-American War; helped to run the Boettcher Boarding House in Ulter Heights; then operated a Dairy Farm located on Collabar/Scotchtown Road in the Town of Crawford (Orange County). Manuel Bettcher then built homes in Montgomery, NY ... a stone house in 1942 on Rt 17K (Winding Hills) ... a stone house in 1947 on Union Street in Montgomery, NY ... a house next-door to that one in 1948 ... a house on Charles Street in Montgomery in early 1950s.
