Information on Elizabeth or Samuel Beste

I am searching for information on my great-grandmother, Elizabeth Sarah or Sarah Elizabeth Beste (most commonly referred to as Lizzie). Her father is listed as both Samuel Beste and Henry Beste. Her birthplace is in Missouri. She married Frank Everett Brockmeier in Franklin County, Missouri. I have pictures of both Elizabeth and Samuel; however, I do not know any other information.

1) Marie Frederike Wilhelmina Beste
b. Sept 1864 Germany
d. 20 Sept 1936 Gosper County, Nebraska
buried: Elwood Cemetery, Elwood, Gosper County, Nebraska
married: Adam Weismann (1862-1931)

2) Frederick A. Beste
b. 6 Jan 1870 Germany
d. 1 May 1942 Nebraska
buried: Eustis City Cemetery, Eustis, Frontier County, Nebraska

3) Henry Beste
b. 4 March 1875 Germany
d. 24 Sept 1928 Nebraska
buried: Elwood Cemetery, Elwood, Gosper County, Nebraska

This family immigrated over to America sometime between late 1875 and 1878. It is possible that Heinrich & Caroline had additional children.

As far as my research has shown, sons Frederick & Henry never married or had children.

I went to high school in Ft. Walton, FL. with a Darle (female) Knuppenburg. Her father was a fighter pilot and Darle was an only child. I am trying to locate Darle. The family was stationed at Eglin A.F.B., FL. Darle would be 67 or 68 years old. I have on other information.

DoD Identifies Army Casualties

The Department of Defense announced today the death of two soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq, on August 4, when an improvised explosive device detonated near their HMMWV while conducting combat operations. Both soldiers were assigned to the 1st Calvary Regiment, 1st Armored Division, Friedberg, Germany.

I have compiled a book on the descendants of Heinrich Beste and Josephine Dunnebacke. His parents, Franz Beste Barbara Knoche lived in Detroit when they first arrived from Germany. Heinrich had a brother by the name of Franz b. March 15, 1824 is this your ancestor?

I believe our Ancestors were from Westphalia or Hanover Gemany. The farthest it can be traced back is to Wilhelm Heinrich Beste who immigrated prior to 1863. That branch of the Family settled in St. Charles, Missouri.

My Great Grandfather immigrated from either Germany before 1863. Most of the relatives who he traveled with were from Westphalia (Gescher, Coesfeld or Prussis). He moved to first Quincy, Illinois then settled in St. Charles, Missouri, where the family hales from. His son from E. Dahmann was Heinrich Wilhelm Robert Beste (changed to Henry William Robert) who married a Margaret Berter (changed from Beerter). Their eldest son was Robert William Beste of St. Charles, Missouri (my father). I am very interested about any information about my Great Grandfather's actual home in Germany and his ancestors.

I am searching for information regarding the family of Elizabeth Beste. She married George W. Drake 26 July 1863 in Mosinee, Wisconsin. Marriage information indicated her father was Joseph Beste - no mother listed -
The Drakes were from Stevens Point Area, but since the marriage took place in Mosinee, it is possible the Beste family was from Marathon County.

My gr-gr grandparents were John and Brigitta (Heine) Beste who immigrated from Halberbracht,Westphalia, Ger. in 1868/69 and briefly stayed near relatives in Detroit before moving to Cedar County, Nebraska by 1870. My greatgrandmother was Helena Beste(1870-1956). Her father owned a meat market, Beste and Niester, on Gratiot Ave in Detroit. His name was Frank J. Beste. She had a sister, Louise who married John Ritter. Any connection?
