Hi, I am having a confusing road block. I am the great great grandaughter of Samuel K. Berry who married Adaline Eastman. In my research of Samuel I not only found where he is buried but have recvd his obit and death cert. The death cert did not mention his parents, but I was pretty sure it was David Berry son of Benjamin Berry and Johanna Berry. The middle initial in his name stands for Kinley so I knew he somehow was connected to the Kinley/Berry line. Anyway my problem came when I sent for his pension records. A letter was in the files I recvd, a handwritten one from Samuel, who stated that his father was David Berry who was in the war of 1812, but he list his mother as Mary Francis Fultz. He also list his stepmothers name which was correct. The problem is all the researchers and myself believed that Elizabeth Foster was his mother. When I contacted a few researchers about my findings they seem to think that he is incorrect and Elizabeth Foster is correct. My thoughts are this man was a grown man, and I would hope he knew what his mothers name was, so I am hoping someone out there knows of this Fultz woman and her marriage to David Berry, or if you too think that Samuel is wrong in his mothers name.
