My grandfather, Joseph Manson Berry, born March 12, 1880, in Philadelphia, PA. Mother- Elizabeth (MOSS) Berry, Father- Gavin Berry, siblings- Alice Ellen Berry (Wentz), Charles, William.

My grandfather married my grandmother- Harriet (Hattie) HILL in 1898 and they had three children- Joseph (1904), Edna May 2/06/12), and my mother Mildred Ellen Berry (2/13/17). They were Philadelphia, PA residents all their married life.

My grandfather had a paper route in North Philadephia, Olney and West Oak Lane for many years and had several men working for him.

My grandfather passed away on Oct. 5, 1961 (3 months after my grandmother died on July 1, 1961. They met during their teens and married when they were 18 years of age. They were happily married for 63 years and the doctor told us that my grandfather died of a broken heart.
