I've got some Berkowitz ancestors from Iasi, Romania that I am trying to find information on. I've also seen it spelled Berkovitz, but Isadore (my great-grandfather) spelled it Berkowitz.

Leah (b. 1864 in Iasi, Romania)

Samuel and Lara immigrated to NYC in 1886, and were settled in Hartford, CT by 1900.

Frida R. (Berkowitz) Wenick (b. 1895 - d. 1988)
