The ages mentioned in the banns are (in case of the Amsterdam-born) very reliable. Sometimes also information about familyrelatonships and/or relgion were given. Hello, my husbands Grandmother was of your family. Frances Coman of Passaic County, b about 1893. I have several pics that I don't know who they are. Are you familiar with the 1800 NJ group.

albert berkhof 1739. The only possibility is Albert Berkhof baptized in 1702 21-5-102 at Vriezenveen as son of Hermen Berends Berkhof en Berendje Alberts Jonker. Although there were other Alberts 1. Albert baptized 3 november 1700 at Vriezenveen, but his live is known, he died 21 of march 1749, he was maried to Hendrikje Timmer, also known as Boeschen. They had one son Jan born in 1728.
and number 2 baptized 7-6-1711 he was the son of Berend Hermsen Berkhof and Jenneken Berends Fayer,he married Janna Lamberts and they had four children. So it must be the first one. The Alberts in Vrienveen were both linen tradesman according to the information of the local historian Herman Jansen
