Gustav Bergmann was born in 1858 in Germany. He married Henrietta Prill in that country and then immigrated to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 1882. Gustav and Henrietta had two sons: Edward (1883-1950) and Otto (1887-1931). Gustav died in 1935, and Henrietta died in 1943.

Gustav was survived by two sisters, at least one of whom immigrated to the United States. One sister's daughter was nicknamed Gussie, and she married a Buchta.

I am interested in information on Gustav's family and would be happy to share my information about his descendants.

Just wondering if you have a George & Beverly Bergmann in your family- they were married in 1952.
I found a newspaper from that year(Milw. Journal) in my house when remodeling and it has the wedding announcement- I could send you a copy if interested- Susie

I appreciate your response and offer. The names are not familiar, but I would appreciate receiving a copy. I know Gustav had other family in Milwaukee, so perhaps this couple could be related to another family branch.

My address is: 3101 S. Manchester St, #701, Falls Church, VA 22044. Thanks!

These are my great grandparents. Their daughter-in-law is Bertha Lowum Bergmann, her husband was Otto Adolf Bergmann b.16 Jul 1887, d.05 Apr 1932. I have been doing research on my family for a long time and have only sparse informantion on the Bergmann side. Otto had a brother Edward. I also have the spelling as Gustave and that both Henretta and Gustave had a father named Michael that is unchecked and needs research.

I do not know of any of the people you mentioned. Gustav I believe had 2 sisters and he was not married to Friedericka Bathke. Also as far as I know Gustav only had 2 sons Edward and Otto and my records show that his father was Michael. Sorry I can't be more help than that. Please let me know if any of this fits into your work and where. Thanks.
