      <description>My g-grandmother Anna was a Berkowitz from Russia but her siblings stuck with Bercovich. Parents were Pesach and Basha/Ruth. Some of their children scattered in Mexico and Israel.</description>

      <description>My father's name was Hector Bercovich.  He was born in Buenos aires around te 1930's.  I do not know much more but that I heard that maybe the name 'bercovich' happened when he came to the U.S. in the late 60's.</description>

      <description>the spelling of the last name is different in that they used Bercovitch.  my ancestry is bercovich.</description>

      <description>I am trying to find the descendents of  Benjamin (Bennie) Berkovitch and his brother Motta who came from Russia (Minsk) via London in the early part of the century.  Their brother was Nachum Leib Bercovitch who lived in London. The latter was my mother's father.</description>
