      <description>&lt;br&gt;CHICAGO – Elizabeth Beohm, 103, of Chicago, Illinois, formerly of Youngstown, Ohio (Mahoning County) died Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, at her residence.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Elizabeth was born Marie Beohm, Dec. 10, 1907, near Bistritz, Austria-Hungary, the daughter of the late George and Katherine Hesch Beohm, and came to the United States in 1913 with her mother and brother, John.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;She graduated from high school and Hall Business College in Youngstown, Ohio. She worked as a model in New York City and graduated from New York University. &lt;br&gt;She previously had worked for Max Factor and the Sheila Graham Show in Los Angeles, and for NBC in Florida. &lt;br&gt;She was an actress and senior copywriter in Hollywood, and was acquainted with many of the stars of that day. &lt;br&gt;She retired as a junior executive with Sears in Chicago. After retirement, Elizabeth was a freelance writer and president of the Mid Western Writers in Chicago.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;She was a world traveler, a lecturer and loved to meet people. She was an avid golfer and loved to paint and help others through volunteer work. She was a member of the Fourth Presbyterian Church in Chicago.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Elizabeth leaves her sister-in-law, Eleanor Beohm of Youngstown, Ohio; two nephews, Richard T. Beohm of Thomaston, Ga., and Robert Beohm of Youngstown; two great-nephews; and a great-great-nephew and niece.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Besides her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her brother, John. &lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Local arrangements by Thompson Funeral Home.&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;&lt;br&gt;Youngstown Vindicator&lt;br&gt;January 15, 2011</description>
