Searching for info on Alexander Benzie, b.abt 1834, Scotland, m. Mary Johnston; son Alexander, b. abt. 1854, Scotland, m. Annie Whyte, Glasgow 1872; several children; Samuel b. 1872, Margaret b.1873, James b. before 1895 and died in in infancy before 1895, another James b. 1895 m. Agnes Robertson 1917, Elizabeth b. abt.1897 m. ? Kemp abt. 1917. There were apparently at least 12 children, all but two died before marrying. I seem to have hit a wall with the senior Alexander Benzie, any help or advise would be appreciated.
