My great grandfather was married to Scholastique Menominee and I thought that Scholastique, a native American Indian (passed on orally through the several generations) was part of the Menominee tribe in Wisconsen
CRockw4773@aol.com a cousin of mine has made extensive research in this area but has not shown or disproved that oral tradition to my knowledge yet.
http://www.nmsu.edu/~histdept/jacobs/menominees.html gives a history of the tribe
http://www.menominee.nsn.us/ is the tribe's actual web site
http://www.dickshovel.com/men.html is another excellent history of the tribe and it's whereabouts
Keep me advised
