Hi, I want to find Benoit family. We have Cree, and Ojib'we and French in our family.
His name was Harry Bennitt. I was always told as a little girl it came from "Beniot". My dad did a DNA test and does have the Indian line in their family.
I get excited and flustered and dont know all the right words to come out. I do better at talking.
But they have Harry coming from a white war veterans family of Ephriam in New York. And I heard that there was a screw up of names and have crisscrossed.
