I am researching my family history and am
trying to locate more information on my
great grandaunt Emma BENNINGER nee WOLSTENHOLME
(1880 - 1960), and her descendents.
I have found that she married William T. BENNINGER (1869 - 1953),
son of Joseph and Louise BENNINGER, in Meshoppen in 1897.
Emma WOLSTENHOLME was adopted as an infant
and her surname at the time of the marriage was
VALENTINE, the same surname as her guardian.
I have documented the children of William and Emma
BENNINGER through the 1900, 1910, and 1920 censi
(Meshoppen PA all years) as Mayme (married
Rollan VALENTINE)born in 1898 died 1924,
Russell born in 1906 died 1955, Hazel born in 1910,
Cora born in 1915, and Arthur born in 1918.
They may also have had a son John C. born
05 June 1902, died 12 March 1905 - but I
have not conclusively established his
relationship to Emma and William yet,
I only suspect it based on the Overfield
Cemetery, Meshoppen, PA records I located
online.

I would enjoy hearing from anyone also researching
this line.
