We did the dna on Familytreedna. We started with the y dna as we were looking into my father's side first. We then did the autosomal, mostly hoping for some Benn matches and now we are waiting on results for the mitochondrial. It's been a fascinating experience so far. I'm hoping to contact some of the Benns on Tony Benns family to see if someone will do a dna kit.. His daughter-in-law does their tree. I talked to her a long time ago but then lost her info and haven't been able to find it on ancestry yet. My great uncle Alan used to exchange letters with Tony Benn and said there was a connection but he died and nobody has any of the letters or really talked to him about it back then.

There were no fires in my area, though the whole of Sydney and it's suburbs was covered in smoke at one stage. I did have a cousin in a danger area in Springwood in the blue mountains, but he and his family are safe thankfully and didn't lose their house.
