From the Mobile, Alabama Newspaper:
Tuesday, June 15, 1937:
• "A former Mobilian who was knighted by the King of England, is dead at his residence in London. He was Lord Glenravel of Kensington, 79 years old, who as Arthur Shirley Benn, lived in Mobile for about 25 years.
"Coming here from his native Ireland, Benn married Miss Alys Luling of Spring Hill(Mobile County). She died about four years ago. Benn was at one time British vice consul in Mobile, and was a member of the lumber firm of Hunter Benn & Company which he founded with the late Robert Hunter, which has its headquarters in Mobile. He had made frequent visits here since he moved to England, and took an active interest in the concern. ...
"Word of Benn's death, which occurred Sunday, was received here Monday."
Not my line, just sharing.
