Nice to meet others from an extend Bellamy family. My line goes from mother to grandmother (maiden name Bellamy) to great grandfather (Hon. John Dillard Bellamy) to my gg grandfather Dr John D Bellamy who built that pretty home at 5th & Market. Dr. Bellamy's family came from Charleston via Barbados where the Bellamy's did rather well for themselves in a variety of lucrative business lines including slaves, I believe.
