After leaving Barbados with his sisters, Jean (John II) worked for a family friend as an indentured servant in Goochland Co, VA.. There are at least 4 Johns and 3 Marys..all adding to the late 1600's confusion. The story is sorted out rather well and very completely in a book written by our cousin Joe David Bellamy.."The Bellamy's of Early Virginia" was available in PDF and from the website same as Joe Davids name. Buy the book, it's worth the read, we have a wonderful family history and way too much to tell on a message board.
