Am not sure if the birth of Robert Hicks Bonner was omitted or not from John Boddie's book on the Albemarle Parish Records. The one done by the DAR is much more accurate. Our library here now has both so when I get to driving again, I'll go check it out.

The guardianship record does state that James Bonner was the orphan of Chappel Bonner (d1805 in Hancock) and it was my addition that added that Chappel was the brother of Joanna.
Have never looked for the probate of Chappel. Would be interested to see if it mentions the slaves given to his wife Priscilla in the 1795 Sussex will of her father Isham Smith.
