I believe this is the book you seek, Although its been many years, I can't see if anyone ever provided you a link for the Belfry Book.

Do you happen to have any knowledge on Belfry's descendants starting in the children of Jacob Belfry and Joanne Sherman as being Mayflower Descendants. I do have the bloodline.

I have traced 52 descendents of an Alex Belfry (1854-1934) who married Elizabeth Goulet (1854-1921), both died in Munising, MI
I'm trying to tie that line of Belfrys to one jacob belfry (1777-1858) who died in Queensville, Ontario.
I have also traced 590 of his descendents.

Were Claudine's parents Howard Belfry and Leora Leveque? Claudine and John Sulter are included in the Nov 1977 obit of Howard Belfry but there is no mention in the 1996 obit of Leora [latter marriage] Whipple.

Any information on the children, grandchildren, etc. of Howard and Leora or Claudine and John would be appreciated. I have ancestral information on Claudine.

Their daughter Hester A. married George Washington Wright in Toronto Canada. Their son Arthur C. Wright is my husband Grandfather. Would like to exchange information with you on the family. Did you ever trace the Jack Belfry you were asking about.

Could be a John Belfry born Dec 1897, son of William Harvey Belfry and Edith Coulter. William Harvey had a sister Alma Annie Belfry born 1888 married John Gibbs Near.

Hello all,

I have found the grave of a mystery Belfry in the South Hill cemetery in Prince Albert,Sask.Her name is Jean Belfry.She was born April 29/1929 and died April 17/1982.I am very familiar with all the Belfrys from this area.The only one named Jean that I know of is my mother's cousin but she was born in 1932 and is buried in Shellbrook.I know of no other Jeans that married into the Belfry family from this area.There are 3 other graves in this cemetery all buried together Francis John buried in 1904 and his nephews Karl Edwin Ballantyne and Frank L. Robertson both died in 1905.Jean is buried in a whole different section by herself although she was born and died much later than the others.Any help would be greatly appreciated.I know I have been in contact with some of you before so if you have any updates or questions feel free to e-mail. Well I Am a Belfry living in Michigan.....My Grandfather died Before i was born and i never met my Grandmother...But My Father and 2 Brothers came from Marquette, MI they also Lived in Munising for a while as well. I dont really have any info But would Like some can anyone help me????

The Roy Stephens is the one that married Minnie Belfry on April 4 1919. Ther are few Belrys buried in Pine Grove Cemetry Norland Ontario .I live about a mile from Pine Grove.

I have no info to add that everyone doesn't already know about but I do have a question.I find Isaac in the 1911 census with his brother Judah as head also listed is a Jane Belfry listed as Judah's sister-in-law.I have no record of Isaac remarrying.Can anyone tell me who this Jane is?? But there where a whole bunch of Belfrys that moved to Saskatchewan, so it's still possible we are related somehow.

Hi,

My name is Rick Taylor. I am the Great Grandson of Mary Elizabeth Taylor (Belfry). Her parents were Isaac Belfry and Christina Gillespie. Isaacs parents were Jacob Belfry and Susan Rose.
I am trying to find information on later Belfrys. The earlier ones are well documented, but from the late 1800's on it gets hazy. I believe Marys parents (Isaac and Christina) moved from the Lutterworth area of Ontario out to the Prince Albert area of Saskatchewan in the late 1800's to very early 1900. The 1901 census shows them living in Prince Albert. I believe along the way, one of their daughters, Mary, stayed in Winnipeg and married Joseph Angel Hardman Taylor, my Great grandfather.

Any information is appreciated.

I saw in a 1901 census of Canada, that there were a bunch.

My name is Nancy Belfry and I've been Belfry family research for awhile.
Could i get in the info you all have.
I show many Belfry heading to Sask. Judah, Issac and family, Jacob Robert and family, Prince Albert and family.

Issac's sons I have listed as Francis John ( no info on), Daniel, Arthur,Angus and Robert.
Daughters Susan Rosella (no info), Mary Eliz.(Rick's), Christina( no info)and Minnie Gertrude.

Now on Francis Albert Belfry and Lydia Allen's family i have
Children Emma,Robert, James, Minnie, Susan and Jessie.
Robert passed away in 1892, Susan as a baby and Jessie as a baby.
Lydia passed away 1898.
Francis moved in with his in-laws in the 1901 census and by 1911 he's remarried Geogerian and none of his children are living with him.
I do show a Stephens family living the area in 1911, Thomas and Antoinette with a Roy would this be your Roy??

As for my husband line of Belfrys, he runs from Jacob Sr., to Prince Sherman, to Peter, to John Henry, to Leslie, to Marvin, to Him Robert.
All in Ontario, along with many more.

I would be happy to exchange any informed, and very happy to receive any.

Yes I do have information on Emma Belfry. Minnie's sister.

Emma born May 12, 1886 and died Jan. 12, 1946 in Lindsay Ontario.
In the 1911 census Emma is living as a lodger with John and Linda Wright in Bexley.There are 14 lodgers in this house.
I have the death of two of her children both babies, boys, 1919 and 1924.

I have Minnie and Emma living with their mothers parents in 1901 also their father Francis.

By 1911 Francis is remarried second wife is Geogerian Belfry there are no children living with them.

Hi Rick, please I'm interested in any info you have on the Belfry's out West.
I also have a Minnie Belfry born Apr. 14, 1912 married Clifford Van Alstyne.
I show her in the 1901 census living in Sask with Isaac, Christiana,Angus, Arthur, Rob.D Belfry.
1906 Census, Isaac is a widow, Minnie is living with him and his brother Judah and Arthur Wellington Belfry.

I'm looking for info on both the Minnie's and where and what they lived or died or who their children are/were.

Any info is welcomed and I do have some also if you would like any.

Hi - I was friends with your Uncle Monty Belfry back in the 1980's. I just found out that he had passed away 5 years ago; what a sad discovery. He was a great, smart, guy with a great sense of humor. I can't help but wonder why he passed so early in life. Would you mind telling me? I am wondering if anyone of the Belfry genealogists know if Catherine Moore,2nd wife of Oren, was the daughter of John Moore,granddaughter of Samuel Moore. Catherine was from Markham Township according to DeGuerre. I know Hiram Moore of East Gwilliambury was probably her brother or half-brother.Catherine most likley was born in Pennsylvania very shortly before the Moore family came to Upper Canada circa 1805.

HELP! I am looking for any information on the family of Wilmont and Betty Belfry. I they were my Grandparents both now deceased. I do know there was a Leona Belfry in upper Michigan and Gail Belfry is my mother. Wilmont C. Belfry was my uncle and Diane Belfry is my Aunt. Recently we have had many deaths on the Belfry side and I would love to know if anyone out there recalls these names. I also know my mother lived in St. Clair, Detroit and northern michigan.
