I Peter Beck of Earl township Lancaster county, yeoman, being weak in body but of perfect Mind Memory and Understanding, thanks be given unto God calling into mind the mortality of my Body and knowing that it is appointed for all Men once to die, do make and ordain this to be my last Will and testament that is to say, Principally and first of all I give and recommend my Soul into the hand of Almighty God that gave it and my Body I recommend to the Earth to be burried (sic) in a decent Christian like manner at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter mentioned, not doubting but I shall receive the same again at the general Resurection (sic) by the mighty power of God. And as touching such wordly Estate where with it has pleased God to bless me in this life, I give demise (sic) and dispose of the same in the following manner & form -- First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Margaret Beck my Plantation whereon I now reside with all the Buildings thereon erected in Earl township Lancaster County for her use as long as she remains my widow and no longer, likewise all my Household & Kitchen furniture cattle Horses Waggon Grain Hay &c. But if my said wife should be willing to part with any of my House furniture, Horses cattle wagon Grain Hay &c & such other Articles that she has no use for and is willing to part with shall be sold at publick vendue (sic). The money arising therefrom, as also my outstanding Debts my Executors herein after mentioned are to settle and pay off all my Accounts. – Further is my wife to have the Interest of five hundred pounds as long as she lives & remains my Widow, which said money of five hundred pounds shall be put out on Interest upon good security & the interest shall be yearly paid unto my wife. -- Further it is my will that my Daughter Catherine is to have as much House furniture as each of my other Daughters got when they were married which said furniture she is to have as soon as it can be got after my decease. -- And I further order my Executors hereinafter mentioned to proceed and act in my name and according to law, respecting my other plantation near Hakers Town which is now in dispute & in law. And if my said Executors should recover the said Plantation it is than my will that it shall be immediately sold at publick vendue to the highest bidder, and the money arising therefrom to be equally divided among all my Children share & share alike and such Deed or Deeds given by my Executors shall be as good and lawfull as if done by myself, and after the decease of my wife all the remaining Effects real & personal are to be sold at publick vandue to the highest bidder and the money equally divided among all my Children as likewise the aforesaid mentioned five hundred pounds, namely John, Peter, George, Henry, Adam, David, Daniel, Susannah, Catherine and Elizabeth Share and Share alike. – Lastly I appoint my loving Sons John and Adam Beck to be the Executors of this my last will & testament revoking all former wills, Testaments, Bequeaths, Legacies &c Ratifying this and no other to be my last will and testament. Signed sealed published and declared by the said Peter Beck as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names. – Charles Montelius, Peter Stipe – Codicell to this my last Testament which is as follows, it is hereby my will that my Sons Daniel Beck & David Beck are to have each of them a Horse as all my other Sons had each one, so it is my will that those two Sons are to have the same, year & date as above. – Peter Beck (LS)

Lancaster County On the 8th day of August AD 1911 Before me the subscriber personally appeared Charles Montielus and Peter Stipe who being duly Qualified according to law did declare and say that they were present and saw and heard Peter Beck sign seal and publish pronounce and declare the foregoing writing as and for his last Will and Testament and Codicil and that at the time of the doing thereof he was of sound and well disposing mind memory and understanding to the best of their Knowledge observation and belief.

Be it remembered that on the 8th day of August 1811 The last Will and testament and Codicil of Peter Beck deceased were proved in due form of law and letters testamentary thereon were granted to John Beck and Adam Beck the Executors therein named, they having first been duly Qualified well and truly to administer the Estate of the said deceased, especially to exhibit a true and perfect Inventory thereof into the Registers Office at Lancaster within one Month and to render a true and just Account of their Executorship in one year or when thereto lawfully required. Given under the Seal of said Office.
