MANSFIELD, Ohio: Esther Lucille (Beck) Longsdorf passed away Monday, December 8, 2014 in Lexington Court Care Center. She was 95.

She was born February 21, 1919 to parents Floyd & Laura (Bruker) Beck in Mansfield, OH.(Richland County)
Esther was graduated from Mansfield Senior High with the class of 1937.

On September 4, 1973 she married James Edward Longsdorf and together they spent 21 wonderful years until he passed away in 1994.

Esther worked at Kroger where she worked for over 25 years until retiring in 1982.

In spare time, she took pleasure in exercising at the YMCA and walking her dogs all over Lexington.

But above all, Esther cherished time spent with her family.

Esther was a member of First Congregational Church in Mansfield.

She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law: Sandy Ferlazzo of Venice, FL, and Janie and Greg Freiheit of Lexington, OH; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Jacob Gilde, her second husband, James Longsdorf; her son, Rodney L. Gilde; and her brother, Joe Beck.
Although no public service will be held in Esther's memory, her family hopes that you will hold her in your heart as you remember her in your own special way.

Private burial will be held in Oak Grove Memorial Park near Lexington, Ohio.
