A story told in a family book that some of us
have states that the Borland and the Beatty
families lived quite isolated and close to
each other way back when and that a Borland
and a Beatty came to the parents to ask to get
married. Answer-yes. This was followed by
another couple with the same request of the same
two pair of parents- answer yes. Again, a third
time the same thing happoned with the same answer.
When a fourth couple came forward- the parents
said "enough-enough" and refused.
